Cabell Board of Education seeks candidates to fill unexpired term of former Board Member

At their meeting February 6, 2018, the Cabell County Board of Education voted to accept the resignation of Board Member Karen Nance, who has filed to run for a seat in the West Virginia Legislature.

The Board is now seeking candidates to fill Mrs. Nance’s unexpired term, which continues through June 30, 2018.

Cabell County residents living in District 1, District 3, or District 5 are eligible to apply. If you need to clarify what district you live in, you may contact the Cabell County Clerk’s Voter Registration Office by calling (304) 526-9828 or (304) 526-9826.

All letters of interest must be received by the Superintendent by the end of business Tuesday, February 20, 2018.  Regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Board of Education will interview all applicants at a Special Board Meeting February 27, 2018 beginning at 5:30 PM.  The Board may act to select a candidate that evening, or they may table the decision for a later date.
